Surprise surprise Peter Kay has held off a strong challenge from Rihanna to claim a second week at the top.

'Can You Feel It' as the songs goes and according to the BBC's Stephanie Flanders the recession maybe over with manufacturing output up 2%. This may account for a visable upturn in high street trading and an amazing new phenonmenon dubbed Cyber Sunday where last week £320 million was spent with on-line orders. Others believe there's a liklihood of a second crash after the general election which if it happens could be a knock-out. So plenty to ponder.

Needless to say Peter Kay, Rihanna and all are prepared to make way for the predictable X-Factor winner ... but at least it won't be Jedward!

'I Dreamed A Dream' - Blackburn's Got Talent Winner Susie Boyle goes straight to the top of the album chart in Britain and America! A quite phenomenal achievement - the fastest selling debut record ever - and yes Reggie Yates that's without Susie's Kanye covers.

Christmas's back with Mariah Carey and The Pogues leading the charge ... 15 seasonal songs last year will that be beaten in 2009 ... listen out for two fine new Chrimbo records released for this year - Metro Station's cover of Wham's Last Christmas and Steel Panther's 'Sexy Santa' ... kissing girls under the cameltoe... very non-pc and very outrageous.

The Daily Star hot on this story - House Of Commons Speaker, Tory MP 46 year old John Bercow wrote for a student rag in 1986 that when it came to sex "women will settle for anything that breathes and has a credit card". Now possibly to make these revelations seem more acceptable his wife, 40 year old Sally Bercow has according to the Daily Star admitted she was a canabis smoking binge drinker addicted to one night stands. Great ... yawn. That surely is primarily their business ... however it must be our business that Mr Bercow is a Tory MP and Mrs Bercow is hoping to become a Labour MP.
