Porcupine Tree single 16 April
Fear Of A Blank Planet

Raising the stakes on Public Enemy's phobic tune, Porcupine Tree aka Steve Wilson with a most philosophical and worrying statement. Based on Bret Easton's book 'Lunar Park', a generation of kids grow up saturated in technology - so grown up are they, they no longer have anything to live for ... it couldn't happen could it? This record is awesome in it's truest sense. XXXXX

Brand New
Jesus new single 30 April

Strange and a shame that key words are kind of in vogue and copied, fresh from an appearance with The Killers
"Jesus Christ" is now whisked into Brand New's Long Island New York world. Blasphemy aside, this medium paced anthem is a bit of a spine-tingler which should pick up airplay easily, maybe even a surprise Number One. Blasphemy aside, rather bril. Funeral For A Friend
Into Oblivion new single 7 May

Superb new single from FFAF. New album 'Tales Don't Tell Themselves' was recorded at the legendary Rockfield studios,
"We wanted to explore different areas" says singer Matt. "I stared into oblivion" a haunting tale almost certainly written with one eye on the dreadful news which daily arrives from across the seas, a brave and thoughtful composition. XXXXx

Maccabees new single 30 April
Precious Time

Another spunky little gem of a single from Brighton's Maccabees. 'Precious Time' precedes by a week their debut album 'Colour It In' due on 7 May. Another wry and lyrically cahrged tale of woe betide, there's a rather British charm to this band, not overcooked in any way and yet somehow sitting at home with The Smiths and label mates The Cure ... well worthy. Noisettes new single 9 April
Scratch Your Name
148bpm
Noisettes supply some neatly tight backline bass and drums, 'Scratch Your Name' is another blistering attack from centre stage. Following US tour duty with Bloc Party and TV On The Radio the band return to gig the UK in May, well worth catching some of the strongest on stage tunes of the moment, and Shingai Shoniwa is an exceptionally powerful lead singer. Pink Spiders new single 23 April
Little Razorblade

Following their January UK tour support slots with Fall Out Boy, Nashville's Pink Spiders return to the UK in April to play the Give It A Name festival and dates with New Found Glory. Matt Friction:
Vocals/Guitar, Jon Decious: Bass & Bob Ferrari:'World's Greatest Drummer' release catchy 'Little Razorblade' as a taster for the Rik Okasek produced album 'Teenage Graffiti' due on 30 April. Not bad. XXXx thepinkspiders.com

Freeform Five
No More Conversations new single 14 May

'Brash, neon uber pop' says the NME .. Mylo returns a favour here with a superb radio remix, singer Anu sang the vocals on Mylo's 'Muscle Cars'. 'No More Conversations' is a beefy 127bpm dancefloor track and as Arena put it 'electrodisco pop perfection'. Mixes by Mason, Fedde Le Grand, Switch, Radiokillaz, Nightmoves and Subliminal Kid up the ante. XXXX freeformfive.com

Motor
Unhuman new album 26 March

din9 or ... Bryan Black, programmer of Prince's Paisley Park computers in the 90's and along with Mr.No and Hugo Menendez is one third of new electro outfit Motor. Their 'Bleep' irresistably worms it's way as
'red, white and black images darken the stage as green laser light pierces, cajoles and erupts across euphoric clubbers faces with an acid flanged madness'. You get the picture? XXXx myspace.com/motor66
