Porcupine Tree single 16 April
Fear Of A Blank Planet

Raising the stakes on Public Enemy's phobic tune, Porcupine Tree aka Steve Wilson with a most philosophical and worrying statement. Based on Bret Easton's book 'Lunar Park', a generation of kids grow up saturated in technology - so grown up are they, they no longer have anything to live for ... it couldn't happen could it? This record is awesome in it's truest sense. XXXXX

Ash new single 16 April - 131bpm
You Can't Have It All

Ash are back with a stomping bassliner of a new single, a charasmatic chorus and Tim Wheeler's distinctive vocals. A great single on the back of sold out tour dates and as a taster for their new album due in the Summer. Catch them live if your quick enough to snap up tickets to their shows at London Camden Town Koko on 3, 4 & 5 July. No smoking but plenty of Ash please. XXXXx

Groove Armada 126bpm
Get Down new single 30 April

The GA have come up trumps again. 'Soundboy Rock' is due on 7th May from it comes the barnstorming ragga style funk mash-up 'Get Down'. London Femme MC Stush provides 'chewy' vocals in a soaring 'disco carnival' style. Remixes on the way from Henrik B, Stretch & Form, Elite Force and ... Calvin Harris. Lookin' mighty fine ... XXXX

Klaxons new single 30 April
Gravity's Rainbow
Truly brilliant, phrenetic, fast and furious head banging indie of The Klaxons is gonna bang down the chart doors again. 'Gravity's Rainbow' at 2'30" arriving with one of the spunkiest basslines in memory is irresistable. It should be their biggest hit yet, and then maybe they'll follow up with their supreme take on Grace's 95 hit 'Not Over Yet', hope so. XXXXx

Fall Out Boy new single 9 April
Thnks Fr Th Mmrs
Another flawless single from Fall out Boy. It's got humour and 'joie de vivre' in abundance, plenty of uplifting pounding hooks to lodge in your subconscious. It's easy to be critical but if you wanted to write an edgy hit, here's a text book way of doing it. From the storming concept 'Infinity On High', 'Thanks' should go higher than 'Arms Race' maybe even No.1. XXXXx

1990s new single 16 April
See You At The Lights 135bpm

Glasgow band 1990s charming single 'You're Supposed To Be My Friend' raised a few ears, and now an even stronger charge at the Top 40. 'See You At The Lights' sharp, chiselled lyrics and frantic vocals make this an upbeat listen. Their album 'Cookies' is due on 7 May and should be good. 'Lights' is a brilliant single.

Patrick Wolf new single 2 April
The Magic Position 135bpm

Recorded in Vienna and London the title track of Patrick's latest album is due for success. De man is on tour support duty with the arcade Fire and should win over many new fans for his trouble. A sparkly single, sprinkled with a lifetime's know-how, good new music with a Euro flava. XXXx

new single 26 March
Fran Healey and chums return with their best yet. New album 'The Boy With No Name' is due on 7 May, from it the first single 'Closer' offers classic what you'd expect from Travis. But hang on there's an edginess on 'Big Chair' with it's uneasy bassline perhaps you wouldn't expect, then with the upbeat 'Selfish Jean' there's a return to the feel of 'Tied To The 90's'. Sweet. Sanctity new album 9 April
Road To Bloodshed

Roadrunner Records newest signings have their debut album produced by Trivium's Jason Suecof. 'Road To Bloodshed' is a no-nonsense straight to biznezz metal album worthy of note. With a reputation for explosive live shows - 190 shows in 2005 alone, fan faves 'Beneath The Machine' and 'Zeppo' are highlights in a strong 12 song set. XXXx

Freelance Hellraiser
We Don't Belong

new single 9 April

FH aka Roy Kerr hooks up with indie singer/songwriter Iain Archer for his first release of 2007. Studio wizz Kerr has cleverly imagineered this new song from a bootleg he did of The Beatles 'Hey Jude', remixes are provided by Alex Gopher, French underground house legend long before Paris became hip. It's not bad, perhaps a little too contrived. XXX
