Fri 28th July - The Bishops
+ Kid Harpoon + Air Traffic + Porchlight
London based band The Bishops are Mike Bishop (vox and guitar), Pete Bishop (vox and bass) and Chris McConville (drums). They formed two years ago when twins Mike and Pete met Chris working in their local pub.
The twin’s prolific songwriting has already spawned a vast collection of songs. From standout track ‘I Don’t Really Know What To Say’, to the energetic beat of ‘Menace About Town’.
Inspir by stars like The Everly's, Beatles, Chuck Berry, The Who, The Kinks and Arthur Lee’s Love. The Bishops also pay homage to The Outsiders’ Dutch beat classic ‘Sun’s Going Down’ .

Fri 4th August - The Hedrons + Malpas + Guerrilla Press

click to see and hear Hedron sauceclick to see and hear Hedron sauce

Hard rocking Glaswegian's The Hedrons are set to storm the charts with their new single 'Be My Friend' out on 31 July, The Hedrons are Chi (Bass & Vocals), Rosie (Lead Guitar), Soup (Drums) & Tippi (Guitar & Lead Vocals).
The gals name their influences as 'the gritty wide-eyed beauty of The Slits, the strong steadiness of Joan Jett's orchestrated screams, and the revolutionary and raw hip factor of PJ Harvey, The Hedrons will leave you completed, content, and fulfilled, no matter what you've set out for in the first place.'
How to write a press release ...
"The Hedrons music is decidedly one part Ramones-esque brawn, one part femme-fatale roar, and one part ruthless guitar-driven nerve. Or as lead guitarist Rosie humorously puts it, If you listen to us, you wouldn't realise it was girls until Tippi starts singing you'd think it was a bunch of big hairy guys playing. And although the girls would personally describe their sound as the modern love child of the Foo Fighters and Joy Division, they would also say that the very same love child is proudly godfathered by Iggy Pop & The Stooges... "
In three words - DON'T MISS THEM!

Fri 11th August
Cardiff's Boobytrap Records presents their latest signings
The Boyfriends + From Mars + The Racketears

The Boyfriends -
Adult Acne
new single 8 May
Cardiff's Boobytrap Records have picked a winner here, with The Boyfriends supporting Morrissey on the first leg of his European tour and these guys are delivering in sound too! 'Adult Acne' has an irresistable bass riff made for movement and lyrics as incisive as the title. Perhaps with a little airplay where it matters (Huw Stephens might help out here) this could give Boobytrap and The Boyfriends their first hit single. XXXX
