Unsigned & Brilliant ...

Something In Construction, Wild's label, distributed by Universal, is doing quite nicely with its acts.

We have the hip hop of AKIRA THE DON, the chamber pop of THE SILENT LEAGUE, the discodelia of 69CORP, the psych/folk of LAZARUS and the guitar/synth struttings of EVERY MOVE A PICTURE.

All of our singles have got lots of radio play on Radios 1, 2 and 6Music, also Xfm and Virgin and many local and college stations across the country.

All of our released acts that can play live have recorded sessions for Radio 1 or Xfm.

All of our singles so far have all sold out and been deleted.

Silent League, 69CORP, Akira The Don, and EMAP have all had a lot of press and great reviews for their records in NME, TimeOut, national newpapers, Q, MOJO, Uncut and many many other mags from Hip Hop Connection to Arena as well as a host of online coverage.

But we want more. We had a dream last night......

a dream of a band that rocks like PJ Harvey or QOTSA......or..YHA.....or...YYYs...or...or Fugazi or "Reign In Blood" or "For Those About To Rock" or The Bronx ..or dalek...or DFA1979...or Madonna-era Trail Of Dead...

or

or

or

or.

failing that.....

....

......mebbbe something that shimmies massively like Talk Talk and that new Low record

or

comes on like SFA meets Timbaland/Timberlake

or

something that blows opens the windows like, say, Supergrass or Franz......

or

something like nothing we have heard.

We just want something amazing.

That is all.

No fucking whining tho. No bleating. And absolutely no Emo. At all.

And remember: Make absolutely sure your band or your friend's band or that band you saw are not shit. If you are sure, then we'd love to hear them:-

So

If your band is called Memories of Alice or Bleeding Stumps Remain or Burning Eyes of Rama, we will probably not like it.

If your band are amazing and ambitious and you want to work with us, we promise to try to make them famous and we will work our asses off in that respect.

And, dammit. Could your band be from the UK ?

It's OK if you're not but, it'd be great if you were.

There has not been a GREAT UK cool, dark, heavy rock/punk band in AGES. seriously ages. Bring it on!
