The Steers Fortune Drive, The Avenue
Skyscrapers are born to the sound of FF Vinyl's The Steers. Huge, invasive but somehow still intimate with a voice to break hearts at fifty paces. They played their first gig ever in March 2005 supporting Cherryfalls at Cardiff Barfly in front of an audience of 120. In their second show they were given the headline slot and the show was a near sellout. In this, only their third show there was plenty of evidence of the well constructed songs which has attracted major label interest. Support came from Bristol's Fortune Drive and The Avenue.
Check their website above for more info ....

Special Needs
The International Karate Plus
Dogzuki

For Special Needs, it's somehow not quite enough to go and buy The Strokes album, talk about how the second song changed your life, then maybe get off with someone and wear some basketball trainers. Good manifesto - not our words, but their own.
Among the grand intentions lies a rock & roll desperation bred from tedious existences in temporary jobs and houses; an uplifting modern day rhythm and blues cocktail. . Check their website above for more info ....

Special Needs new single is out on 13 June and reviewed here ...

SPECIAL NEEDS - BLUE SKIES
new single 13 June

'Dexy's Midnight Runners meets The Ronettes'??? A refreshing idea and almost nursery rhyme-ish, 'Blue Skies' is designed to take you back to childhood days at the fairground, but whether that is strong enough to break through the current crop of car-jacking gangster rapsters is rather more difficult to predict. Mystery Jets and the awesome Arctic Monkeys are already making a beeline for this little niche - however this is a catchy song and could be different enough to do well. XXXx www.specialneedsweb.com
