Ari-Up's Music of The Slits The legendary Ari-Up pictured above with her band The Slits classic 1979 album 'Cut' created Peel pleasing Punk outrage in 1979 with this sleeve of this album. The single 'Typical Girls' very nearly gave The Slits a Top 40 hit and here we are sampling Ari-Up '05 style. With it's Jamaican rhythms 'Typical Girls' all punked up still works a treat and I bet Marvin Gaye loves 'I Heard It Through The Bassline' (sic). Look out for Ari-Up's Baby Mother CD/DVD out in June 05 - check her website ari-up.com for her latest info.
Support from Captain Paranoid

"I Heard It Through The Bassline, a funky bass and a lovin' race". Ari-Up employs an open stage policy!

Jimmy The Punk swoops with pen in hand, never seen so happy and he won his ticket a couple of weeks back!
